Tigerstripes on taupe

I never really thought about how taupe is pronounced until my sister told me how the other day. That was an "aha!" moment, all of a sudden some of OPI's names made sense! :') So today I had to use my newfound knowledge in the title of this post, hehe. Aaanyway, for this mani I used 2 coats of China Glaze Below Deck and stamped it with Models Own Purple Grey with Konad plate m57.

I think Below Deck is a great base for stamping, because the color really varies a bit depending on the light as you can see on my pics as well. Most of the time it looks like the color in the first pic, but you can make some of the color in it stand out more, depending on your stamping polish. Like a purple stamping polish will make BD look a bit more purple as well. Today I went for a similar stamping color, but then darker. I already knew that my top coat makes BD slightly lighter, so the stripes stood out more after applying that.

Thanks for looking :)

  7. Lovely!!! Below deck is such a dreamy colour. I agree, it changes hue a bit depending on the stamp colour. I once stamped CG Awaken on it and it was a really pretty combo
