Pink Wednesday: Don't Be A Square with a special background!

Dewey thinks that me being outside means it's time to go roll around on the table and get cuddles ^^ So when I put my background cloth on the table there to make pics in the sun, it didn't take long before I got a Dew background. So here's 3 coats of China Glaze Don't Be A Square (no base/top coat) and Dewdew!

I love his pretty color, and love this polish as well! :)

Dew showing off his paws...

...and his nails! Luckily he's gentle, lol.

Cute face (=^.^=)

Making pics got a bit tricky at some point, as you can see on the top pics there's some paws sticking out. That was Dew getting a hold of the camera cord, nom nom!

I wish Bindi and Sue would play background more often as well, but they're often lazy (can't blame them though, I'd slack too!) and dislike the smell of polish. So most of the time they don't look so friendly and run away when I get near them with freshly polished nails and the bottle :P If you have cats, you probably know how they look then, lol.

Thanks for looking and have a great day :)

Kaleidoscope Him Out

Yes, you read that title correct! :D I got myself some new Kaleidoscopes! *happydance* The other day I got a tip from one of my lovely readers, Marionne, about a webshop that still had a few of these. The webshop had 4 different ones, but I skipped It's My Turn because gold isn't my color, even if it's a holo. Of course I had to try them out straight away, so here's the first, China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out :)

I used 4 thin coats, but with that drying time and pretty result, I wouldn't have minded even more coats! ♥ But I don't want to run out of these, so I'll have to get a holo base coat sometime. The swatches are without base and top coat.
The soft sunlight didn't make capturing it easy, and trying different angles gave my fingers a rubbery look on some pics (not sure what happened there :P), but at least those show the pretty colors better :) Thanks again, Marionne! ^^

Purple NOTD

Just a quick post today, for this one I used 3 coats of Catrice Lavenderlicious, stamped with Konad plate m85 and A England Lady Of The Lake. Lady was a little bit sheer, and it's nice weather here today so she dried very fast as well, which made stamping a bit tricky. On my thumbs and a few fingers on my righthand the image got transferred a bit darker and with crisper lines, which looks better. I'm liking this image a lot :) But next time I'll try it with a different polish.

Thanks for looking and take care!

Pink & purple circles

Hey all :) I often go for the same colors when stamping, but I want to try out more different combinations as well. So today I went for pink with purple!
I started with 3 coats of China Glaze Something Sweet. It's a new bottle and ahh, it's so nice to be able to polish without having to keep the bottle in funky positions to get polish on the brush! When this bottle is low on polish as well I'll use some thinner and put it all in 1 bottle, I always do that with top/base coat and it works like a charm =)
I stamped with China Glaze Harmony and Konad plate m85. Some circles weren't complete at the tips, because my nails are slightly longer than the images right now. Time to file 'em down! I haven't used rhinestones in ages, so I added a few of those as well as the finishing touch.

Thanks for looking :)

The One That Got Away

Yep, I have new plates and yep, I have a lot of ideas with them. But this morning I couldn't choose! And I didn't have so much time to keep doubting, so I ended up just using a polish instead :P I went for OPI The One That Got Away (3 coats with TC) and it's a nice polish, but if I remember correct (I only used it once before), it stains like mad. So fingers crossed that it ain't too bad!
I'm wearing it as pedi now as well -yes, I'm actually wearing the same as mani and pedi, that's so rare!- and I'll keep it on my toes for a while, I think it makes a great Fall pedi :) My camera makes the hint of duochrome more visible than it is irl though, the polish is more sparkly bright magenta in a darker purple base, like you can see in the bottle.

My Show Your Nails! post is open for a few more days, so just a reminder, if you want you can share your nails and link to your blog there :)

And something else, I started a new blog yesterday, it's a blog with my mandalas. Mandalas are coloring pages for adults, they're considered to be relaxing and spiritual to color. A few years ago I made quite a few as well and I recently started drawing them again, only this time on the pc. I have to get used to drawing with a mouse, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it, so I hope to be able to add more swirly ones soon as well. Have a look at Coloring Mandalas if you're interested in them!

Have a wonderful weekend and take care :)

Tried out Konad plate m83...

...and I'm glad I bought it! It arrived today together with m85, and I think they're both great plates :) So many new ideas now! For this mani I went for 2 coats of A England Galahad (it's my favorite teal, can you tell? :P) and stamped with m83 and Essence All Access. Even though I'm happy with the result, it won't last long, because I want to try out the other images as well ^^

Thanks for looking and take care :)

Pink Wednesday: Tickle My Triangle

Today I'm wearing China Glaze Tickle My Triangle (2 coats, no TC), one of my favorite holographic polishes ♥ The holo is visible irl even when there's no sun! Add the easy application and fast drying time, and you'll understand why I'm wearing it quite often. But TMT is from the Kaleidoscope collection, and we all know what they cost nowadays (yikes!), so next time I'll layer it to save more of this precious polish.

TMT really does deserve better pics to show how beautiful it is, it's a lot more vibrant and holo irl. I have my camera ready and as soon as there's a tiny bit of sun, I'll make some more pics and will add them later if so :)

I ordered 2 new Konad plates (m83 and m85), and I hope they arrive tomorrow, can't wait! ^^ I skipped m84, because it only has 1 full nail image, and me and the little images aren't getting along so well yet.

Thanks for stopping by!

Matte leopard

Morning! I bought Essence No Doubt because I wanted to try some colors that I don't use much at all, and it looked like a nice base. So for this mani I started with 2 coats of No Doubt, which applied surprisingly smooth for a creme! I stamped with Essence Iron Goddess and Konad plate m57, then filled in the dots with Essence Mother Earth Is Watching You. After applying top coat I mattified it with Essence Soft Touch. Yep, I'm really loving matte lately! :) It's a bit tacky perhaps, but hmm, I'm liking it! ^^

What do you think of these colors? :)

Galahad meets Tristam

For this mani I used Galahad (2 coats) as base, and stamped with Tristam, both from A England. The pattern that I used is from BPS plate m78 and it was a bit wobbly, some parts were deeper than other parts, so it was hard to get an even transfer. But luckily it doesn't show so well thanks to sparkly Tristam :)

Have a fab weekend!

Random Essence swatches & Soft Touch vs. Matt

As you may know, Essence didn't only bring out a bunch of new polishes, but also a new Special Effect Topper, the Soft Touch top coat. I know there are small differences between some matte top coats, but I wondered, would it really be a lot different than their own Matt top coat? Time to find that out!
So here are 2 of the new Colour & Go polishes, and 1 from their current Natventurista edition. I'll tell below what top coat I used on what finger, lets see if you can tell! ^^

Princess Prunella, 3 thin coats. In the bottle it reminded me a bit of Paradoxal and all it's dupes. On the nail it looks different than I though it would, in both the color and the finish.

Mother Earth Is Watching You, 2 coats. Almost a 1-coater, so it might be good for stamping.

In Style, 3 thin coats. The prettiest of the 3 if you ask me!

Soooo, you tell me the difference! :) No? You don't see it either? Hmph. I wish I could say it's more visible irl, but it's not. It might feel a teeny tiny bit softer, but I think that's just my mind playing tricks on me, I probably couldn't tell the difference if I didn't know what's used on each finger.
The only clear difference is that my Matt TC looks more yellow in the bottle, but I think that's because it's an older bottle. So well done Essence, give it a new name and sell more of the same, I fell for it! :P

Anyway, here's what I used for all 3 polishes:
Seche Vite top coat on my indexfinger, Essence Soft Touch TC on my middlefinger, Essence Matt TC on my ringfinger, and nothing on my pinkie. The normal swatches are all without top coat.

Thanks for stopping by and take care! :)

Pink Wednesday: Iseult - Review

For this Pink Wednesday I have a very pale pink to show, it's A England's Iseult! I used 3 thicker coats of this polish, and the application was smooth just like the other polishes that I've tried. But those were all 2-coaters, so they dried a bit faster than Iseult did. This soft shimmery polish does dry up very shiny as you can see, these swatches are without base/top coat.

Iseult (3 coats), delicate romantic pink with opalescent pearly reflection.
I think the description fits well and Iseult is a sweet color, but it isn't the most flattering color on me. It's slightly more pink irl though, it seems that my camera moved some of the pink from Iseult into my fingers, lol.

"Iseult the fair lady
The legendary beautiful princess forever linked to Tristam after they mistakenly drank a love potion that left them eternally in love with each other in a powerful romance and tragedy."

The more I see from A England, the more curious I get about the new collection, and what theme that collection will have!
You can buy Iseult on the A England website for £9, and at the moment it's free shipping worldwide.

A England Lady of the Lake & Tristam - Review

When I checked my mailbox earlier today I found nail mail from Adina from A England, and I just had to try them out straight away! So here are the first 2 polishes, I'll show the 3rd one (Iseult) tomorrow, because it's pink and tomorrow it's Wednesday =)

The information about the polishes comes from A England's website. All swatches are 2 coats, no base/top coat. And as always, you can click the pictures for an enlargement.

First up is Tristam, night blue sky with starlight glimmer and glow. It's gor-ge-ous!

"Tristam the courteos knight
The symbol of the knightly virtue, and romantic love. When Tristam and Iseult accidentally consume a love potion, fall helplessly in love. Despite facing numerous trials to test their secret affair their love was never known to fade."

Then we have Lady of the Lake, Tristam's pretty purple sister, dusky purple with rainbow glimmer and glow.

"Lady of the Lake the iconic hand with sword
(Foster mother of Lancelot) a woman of great magical power. She resided in the murky water of a lake, an otherworld. She presented the mythical sword Excalibur to King Arthur with her hand emerging from the water."

I don't have much to add here :) Just like last time, the formula was great, the application was fab, and they dry up very glossy. And the shipping is fast!
These polishes can be bought online for £9, and at the moment A England offers free shipping worldwide.
