Guest post for Fashion Polish

Hi all! I'm very busy atm with painting the house and cleaning and all that stuff, I'm gonna move next weekend and after that I should be back to posting again at some point. Right now I'm walking around with really short and naked nails, eek! But before I filed them down completely, I made a guest post for the lovely Sam from Fashion Polish. Thanks again for having me on your awesome blog, Sam! :)

Don't forget to enter my Nail Art Contest, it ends tomorrow!

Thanks for looking and see you soon!

A lovely holo secret

Today's mani is one of those impossible to capture but lovely irl manicures! The basecolor has a shimmer like CND Amethyst Sparkle, too bad it's one of those shimmers that's way more visible in the bottle, but it's a pretty polish nevertheless! I added the Million Styles holo topcoat, and I think those 2 combined give such a cute result :) But yeah, I couldn't capture it, those tiny holo glitters look so much better and brighter than they do here, and I'm sure I'll enjoy this mani in the coming days!

Essence A Lovely Secret with Catrice Have An Ice Day.

Blurred to show the colors of the top coat a bit better.

And here's my Bindi :) It's been a while since I added a cat pic, and earlier she was lying so cute on one of my bags! That thing always gets a lot of hair love from her. When she looks this sleepy and washed up, I can't do anything but go aaahhhw ♥

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Million Dollar Baby

Heya :) Catrice has a limited edition out now called Million Styles, which has different effect top coats. They all looked great, but I'm not often layering polish, so I skipped most of them. But this one looked so sparkly I couldn't resist it!

Essence No Doubt with Catrice Million Dollar Baby.

Here you can see the small golden and larger silver glitters better.

Mattified with Essence Soft Touch. The silver glitters look a bit lighter with it, but not as light as my pics show. I think this looks nice too, but I prefer shiny!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!

Shattered red

Bright coral colors like today's base color are so nice to wear, instant summery feeling! I added some stamping, but my camera had a hard time picking up the right colors. Especially the stamping is darker red and that makes it more visible than my pics show. It's still quite subtle though, but there's nothing subtle about the mani as a whole! :)

Thanks for looking!

Aqua tiger

Hi all! After all the previews it's time for some nails again :) I have to say I'm pretty uninspired atm, too busy with all the new house and moving stuff, and as you can see my nails have a length to go with that now! I tried to keep them a bit longer but especially my righthand had some chips and sore spots, but hey, now the first BM set images fit again =) But I wasn't sure what to wear, so I went for the tigerstripes, those always work for me. When I applied top coat the white went slightly yellow though, haven't had that before, weird!

Thanks for stopping by and take care :)

Catrice Revoltaire - Preview

Catrice will bring out a new limited edition in May, called Revoltaire. Here are the polishes of that LE:

From left to right: Innocent Toxin - Attracting Camouflage - Colour Bomb - Colour of Honor - Mission Lilac

I wonder how these will look irl!

Essence Fruity - Preview

The next Essence trend edition will be Fruity, and it will be available from mid April to May.

From left to right: mashed berries - one kiwi a day... - very cherry - peach beauty - banana joe
Second row: nail fruits - scented top coat smells like strawberry... - nail art sealing top coat stay fruity

I wonder how the glitters in the first 3 polishes will look on the nail! What do you think of these?

Adore on Absolutely Blue

Hi all! The polish I used as base today is called Absolutely Blue, but I'd call it a light periwinkle blue instead. Pretty on itself, but also a perfect base for some stamping!

Essence Absolutely Blue with BM plate 204, China Glaze Adore and Essence Soft Touch.

I changed my blog a bit, the Christmas trees and snowflakes on the background felt a bit outdated =) What also changed is my GFC, it's bugged and won't show, even though this is a Blogger blog. I think it's only the GFC gadget that doesn't work well (the follow option on the toolbar on top of my blog seems to work), but just in case, you can also follow me with for example Facebook or Hellocotton. Either way, I hope it gets sorted soon!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Essence Midnight Date with City That Never Sleeps

I tried out one of the Essence Nail Colour3 polishes today, the blue one with flakie top. The double polish did feel a bit odd I have to say, I'm not used to holding bottles upside down! And I also wonder how the bottles will look in a while, I guess the best way to store these is on their side, but I can imagine the polish leaking in the cap at some point then. Ah well, on to the application!

The basecolor, Midnight Date, was on the thick side. I used 2 coats of it, but I wanted to apply a thin 2nd coat which didn't work so well, so the whole mani got a bit thicker than I'd like now. The flakie top, City That Never Sleeps, looks like Glisten Up! with a different basecolor. Now I love Glisten Up!, and this one looks great too, but I found it a bit harder to get the flakies even on all nails. Either way, it's a pretty, and I'm curious to see how it looks on other basecolors!
The combo could use some top coat to even things out when wearing them together, but I didn't use that now, instead I added Essence Soft Touch. I think flakies look great when mattified!

Essence Midnight Date, City That Never Sleeps and Soft Touch top coat.

Midnight Date on itself and MD with a coat of City That Never Sleeps.

This pic shows the subtle green shimmer in MD a bit better.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend :)
