Diagonal stamping with Messy Mansion's Accessories Kit

Good morning :) I blogged about the Accessories Kit 2.0 the other day, and here's a mani I did with it. I started with a simple design: I used the triangular shape of the template, picked up the image and lined up one of the sides of the triangle to the side of my nail. Easypeasy diagonal stamping! ^^ The image that I used is a big one from UberChic Beauty, so I could stamp a different, yet matching design on each nail. You can see the plate in this post. You can win that entire plateset in my UCB giveaway, but don't wait too long with entering, because it'll end later tonight!

Dance Legend Pure Manicure (liquid skin protector)

Lately we've been seeing more and more liquid skin protecting products, they're a great invention and Dance Legend also has a version, called Pure Manicure. Time to put it to the test, and I did so with a sponged manicure finished with some stamping with a real stainer. I'll tell you straight away that I LOVE this stuff!

Messy Mansion plates and Accessories Kit 2.0

Hey guys! It's not just 3 great plates that I'm blogging about today, but also an accessories kit that's simply perfect for all the stamping lovers out there! But first, here's a mani I did with one of the plates, you can see them all and the kit further down :)

Purple on taupe

Morning! Here's a mani from the vault, with an image that stamped crisp but went a bit runny from the top coat. The result is almost like it's handpainted with a wider brush or something, don't you agree? That wasn't my intention, but I don't mind it here either :)

Negative space with Bundle Monster Time Machine

I recently received 2 of the Time Machine plates from Bundle Monster, and I went for a type of nail art that I haven't done before: negative space! I'm still undecided about the negative space nails, sometimes I think they look nice, other times not so much. Either way, it is something different than my usual stuff, that's for sure =) How about you, do you like the peep through nails?

Subtle sparkling doublestamping!

Hi guys! Here's a mani from the vault, while I'm still cheering on my nails to quickly reach this length again :) I used Captive Goddess as one of the stamping polishes, which is one of the 4 polishes you can win in my A England giveaway!

5 years Oooh, Shinies! - 5 days of giveaways day 5: UberChic Beauty!

I'm ending my '5 days of giveaways' with a bang... a stamping plate bang to be precise! UberChic Beauty is a fairly new brand, but one that straight away won me over, and their plates continue to inspire me. If I'm not sure what to stamp (and well, with the amount of plates that I've hoarded throughout the years, that happens fairly often!), the UCB plates are great go-to plates, because they offer so much variety in pretty images on each plate. I can often find something to stamp on these plates without having to endlessly browse through my stash :) They'll make a perfect addition to any stamping plate collection, but are a great starting point for stamping too! Gorgeous designs, fantastic quality, large images... ♥! I showed you collection 1 and collection 2 a couple of months ago, and recently blogged about collection 3 as well. And I can't wait to see what the future of UberChic Beauty brings us! This giveaway offers a prize that I'm sure any stamping fan will love:

5 years Oooh, Shinies! - 5 days of giveaways day 4: Femme Fatale Cosmetics!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics is a brand I haven't worked with for very long, but it's also a brand that easily earned a spot with my favorites! If you love glittery goodness, duochrome and sparkles, flakies and shimmers, and even thermals – you should definitely have a look at Femme Fatale Cosmetics :) I've recently shown you the White Witch collection (which is also shown on the image below), and I think it's a good example of the brand; the variation in finishes and colors, while maintaining an easy application and good coverage, what's not to love! And I really like the colorcombo's FFC makes, like the flakies in an old rose base, or the bright sparkles and shimmer in a dark teal base, or those golden mixes, or or or.... Yum! ♥ Have a look at my 'Femme Fatale Cosmetics' search label to see more of them! But Femme Fatale Cosmetics is more than just a nail polish brand, they also offer cosmetics like eyeshadow. And just look at the images of those eyeshadows below! Don't they look amazing? (ok ok, 1 is a blush, still amazing though!) One day I shall learn how to properly apply eyeshadow and then I'll go nuts over prrrretties like those =)
And the Femme Fatale webshop not only carries the FFC brand, they also carry all kinds of other awesome brands and handmade products! The lucky winner of this giveaway can go for any brand found in their store, but I'd definitely check out their own FFC products as well :)

Examples shown on the top right of the image can be found on the Femme Fatale Cosmetics website under the Cosmetics category.

5 years Oooh, Shinies! - 5 days of giveaways day 3: A England!

The prize of my '5 days of giveaways' day 3 is the Rossetti's Goddess collection by A England! I think Adina (the creator of A England) has impressed and wowed the nail community from her very first polishes and up, she has never stopped to amaze us with her creations, and her latest collection is definitely no exception. I've swatched them here, and already showed them in stamped manicures as well (here, here and here). What I think of when I think of A England polish? The impeccable quality, the smooth application and great coverage (a lot of them are perfect for stamping too), and of course the colors!! *swooon* That typical A England holographic sparkle, the way Adina manages to make not-your-average-colors work for all kinds of occasions... There's a regal feeling that comes with them ♥ In this giveaway you have the chance to win 4 of their beauties :)

A England is kindly sponsoring the following prize for 1 lucky winner:

Good luck to you if you enter, and thanks a lot A England!

5 years Oooh, Shinies! - 5 days of giveaways day 2: Mont Bleu!

Day 2 of my 5 days of giveaways brings us Mont Bleu! I got the pleasure of reviewing some of their glass files and a tweezer some time ago, and I haven't stopped loving those products. They're still in perfect condition and make the job of filing nails easier and smoother (the tweezers is my favorite as well, but I don't use that for my nails). These obviously aren't the kind of products that you often see on my blog, but a pretty manicure all starts with good care of your nails, and I'd never touch my nails with anything else again other than glass files!
And when it comes to glass files, the Mont Bleu ones are by far my favorite ♥ I like their sizes and the grittiness is perfect for me, they're easy to clean ánd they're pretty too! Lets be honest, filing isn't the most fun thing to do, but a good and pretty file makes it a lot nicer already, and Mont Bleu sure knows how to make those :) They offer such a HUGE amount of designs, from hard case glass files (perfect for in your bag) to fully blinged out eyecatchers, from hand painted to 3D designs. And that's just the glass files I'm talking about here! Mont Bleu also has a lot of other products; sparkly mirrors, blingy brushes, Swarovski jewelry, you name it. So whoever is the lucky winner of this giveaway: filling up your cart will be easy I'm sure, but choosing designs might prove more challenging! ^^

Examples shown in the image, from top left to right, can be found on the Mont Bleu website under the following categories: Hard Case - ZODIAC Line - CLASSIC Line - Hand Painted - CRYSTAL Line - 3D Design - Glass Foot Files - Nail File SETS - Nail & Cuticle Tools - Nail Scissors - Tweezers.

Mont Bleu is kindly sponsoring the following prize for 1 lucky winner:

$30 USD store voucher including free shipping

5 years Oooh, Shinies! - 5 days of giveaways day 1: Bundle Monster!

OMG, 5 years of blogging! I never expected that when I first posted here, today exactly 5 years ago :) I want to thank you all for 5 years of visiting my blog, giving kind replies (both here and on social media), inspiring me and supporting me. You all made this whole experience SO much more than I could've ever imagined!! I don't know how I can express myself better here, but really, thank you, thank you, thank you! ♥

To celebrate 5 years Oooh, Shinies!, I figured '5 days of giveaways' would be a nice idea, so I contacted some of my favorite companies and they joined in! Yay! Big thanks to these companies for their support and generous donations to help me make these 5 days happen.

I'm starting with a company that was featured in my very first nail post, and was the star of my last nail post..... Bundle Monster! My very first plateset was from Bundle Monster, back in 2010, and I still remember the feeling of running up the stairs with that small, heavy package in my hand that I just took out of my mailbox, and that came allll the way from the other side of the world! That was one of my very first (if not the first?) nailmails, and oh the excitement!! :D You know I love stamping, and I couldn't have thought of a better brand to start these 5 days with :)

Throughout the years Bundle Monster kept offering us more and more beautiful plates, while maintaining that friendly, easy-to-approach feeling of the brand. They offer so much, from loose plates to complete sets and to sets with a specific theme – all perfectly executed and working like a charm. They offer normal sized images and larger ones, and also have the fully covered plates, all while staying affordable. I think they're perfect for everyone, from starters to pro's. Simply put, I just love BM! ♥ And by the looks of it, they're not nearly done with bringing us new plates! I already showed you one of the Polynesia sets in my previous post, and will show you a few Time Machine plates soon (*mumbles something about gardenwork and severe chipping...*), but if you follow them on social media, you probably already saw those aren't the only new sets they're offering. And it's not just Oooh, Shinies! that's celebrating a birthday this month, Bundle Monster is too! Keep an eye on their site for flash sales throughout the month to celebrate their 6th birthday :)

Now for the first giveaway... *drumroll*...

Bundle Monster is kindly sponsoring the following prize for 1 lucky winner:

6pc XL Nail Stamping Plates: Time Machine Master Set
6pc 1mm Thin Nail Stamping Scraper Card Set (in random designs)
Round XL Silicone Nail Stamper Scraper Tool Set with Extra Rubber Heads Sets

Good luck to you if you enter, and thanks a lot Bundle Monster!
